Ramblings, Sentiments, Rantings and Musings

My photo
I am a mother of 5 wonderful children and wife to one amazing Navy man. I am always changing things in my life, constantly learning something new and trying it out. I am a wannabe vegan, minimalist and currently living full time in an RV. Just for clarification, I say wannabe, because I know I am not perfect, but each day I strive to do the best I can. That's all I can expect from anyone no matter where they are in life. I learn something new everyday...mostly about myself and my little corner of reality. Life, to me, is loving, learning and making memories. These are better than all the tangible riches one can get their hands on! Besides, there will come a day when all I have left is my love and memories...so I'll stockpile as much of those as I can!
Yay!!! My camera is back!!!

My son found my missing camera in the camper and I am oooohhh so very, very grateful. I still have issues and am now gonna have to send it in for repair because the memory stick slot is malfunctioning. Now I can only take like 12 pictures at a time without downloading them to the computer. Bummer. But I have it back for now. So here are a few pics I took before I lost the camera.
B's 12th birthday! I think these pics of her are so funny cause she looks so young here. Much younger than I have seen her look in a very long time.
This was the first night in our camper. I am so disappointed that I erased the picture of B when she opened the fridge and the 18 pack of eggs fell right in the floor! Priceless! This was when we were stuck in Kansas during that intensly destructive ice storm that hit the midwest. We ended up staying for two days because when we tried to get on the road our camper was sliding all over the road. Very, very scarey! Needless to say we made it almost 25 miles and pulled into another camp ground. I assure you we all felt the "whew, thank goodness that is over"!Here is a sweet picture that I just took when I got the camera back. The kids were watching a movie. That is Z 13yob and B 12yog. Don't they look so much older than that. It kills me to see how big that they are already. My poor heart! It almost looks as if they are dating. That makes me laugh. How silly! So that is it for now. Sorry for the randomness of this post and pictures. But I am most giddy about having my camera again.

Famous Quotes

"I am beginning to suspect all elaborate and special systems of education. They seem to me to be built upon the supposition that every child is a kind of idiot who must be taught to think. Whereas, if the child is left to himself, he will think more and better, if less showily. Let him go and come freely, let him touch real things and combine his impressions for himself, instead of sitting indoors at a little round table, while a sweet-voiced teacher suggests that he build a stone wall with his wooden blocks, or make a rainbow out of strips of coloured paper, or plant straw trees in bead flower-pots. Such teaching fills the mind with artificial associations that must be got rid of, before the child can develop independent ideas out of actual experience." -- Anne Sullivan
