Ramblings, Sentiments, Rantings and Musings

My photo
I am a mother of 5 wonderful children and wife to one amazing Navy man. I am always changing things in my life, constantly learning something new and trying it out. I am a wannabe vegan, minimalist and currently living full time in an RV. Just for clarification, I say wannabe, because I know I am not perfect, but each day I strive to do the best I can. That's all I can expect from anyone no matter where they are in life. I learn something new everyday...mostly about myself and my little corner of reality. Life, to me, is loving, learning and making memories. These are better than all the tangible riches one can get their hands on! Besides, there will come a day when all I have left is my love and memories...so I'll stockpile as much of those as I can!
Happiness is...

Spending every day with the children I love so much.
Riding horses with Braji and realizing how beautiful she looks on a horse.
Riding four wheelers with the littles and glimpsing all the wild life around us.
Watching my girls do gymnastics and cheering for their achievements.
Seeing my son grow into a man before my very eyes.
Observing him make things, fix what's broken and other manly stuff.
Being so dirty that every shower is glorious.
Preparing dinner with my girls along side of me.
Discussing our future with Jud and having him home EVERY night. (shore duty rocks!)
Watering our gardens and seeing the flowers bloom.
Pondering the details of the next day.

These are just some of the little things that are making me so happy these days. Little things yes, but oh be still my heart!!! Hope you are finding happiness in each day as well.

Famous Quotes

"I am beginning to suspect all elaborate and special systems of education. They seem to me to be built upon the supposition that every child is a kind of idiot who must be taught to think. Whereas, if the child is left to himself, he will think more and better, if less showily. Let him go and come freely, let him touch real things and combine his impressions for himself, instead of sitting indoors at a little round table, while a sweet-voiced teacher suggests that he build a stone wall with his wooden blocks, or make a rainbow out of strips of coloured paper, or plant straw trees in bead flower-pots. Such teaching fills the mind with artificial associations that must be got rid of, before the child can develop independent ideas out of actual experience." -- Anne Sullivan
