Still exhausted
Seems like one day is running strait into the next around here. I still haven't found my equipment to put photos on here yet. I am thinking it might still be in the camper. I will get to it, but it does seem that it will happen later rather than sooner. Sorry for that.
We went and rode my next baby today. We bought another horse, yes that does make three. He is beautiful and I can't wait to get pictures of him on here. He is very young, but doing amazing. We also trailered our other two horses down to the trainer to work with our mare today on his obstacle course. What a lot we are learning in a very short amount of time. Braji has learned more in the last three weeks than she did in the last 2 years. I am very proud of her.
We also learned today that we are approaching rattle snake season. Jud read in the paper that we may need to prepare our animals for possible snake bites. I must say that this has me a bit concerned. I knew we were moving into rattle snake territory, but I guess I just didn't realize that the snakes were so prevalent here. We have a very large grassy area that backs up and sides up to all our pastures. Our neighbors son says that there are a lot of snakes in the summertime.
We definitely are going to get each of the children boots and leather gloves. We all have them except for the three younger children. So that is just one more thing that we need to take care of. Sure seems like that there is a never ending list of things to do here lately.
Well, I am heading off to bed to hopefully wake tomorrow to get more accomplished, but I have this sneaking suspicion that I will still have the same hectic load for a few weeks to come.
I am trying to be faithful to my blog though. At least this way I will have a means of keeping track of how our life is changing. One day I am gonna take the time to go back and read some of the first post that I wrote on here and see how life is different now.
Until then...I am off to la la land.

Ramblings, Sentiments, Rantings and Musings

- Dana
- I am a mother of 5 wonderful children and wife to one amazing Navy man. I am always changing things in my life, constantly learning something new and trying it out. I am a wannabe vegan, minimalist and currently living full time in an RV. Just for clarification, I say wannabe, because I know I am not perfect, but each day I strive to do the best I can. That's all I can expect from anyone no matter where they are in life. I learn something new everyday...mostly about myself and my little corner of reality. Life, to me, is loving, learning and making memories. These are better than all the tangible riches one can get their hands on! Besides, there will come a day when all I have left is my love and memories...so I'll stockpile as much of those as I can!
Famous Quotes
"I am beginning to suspect all elaborate and special systems of education. They seem to me to be built upon the supposition that every child is a kind of idiot who must be taught to think. Whereas, if the child is left to himself, he will think more and better, if less showily. Let him go and come freely, let him touch real things and combine his impressions for himself, instead of sitting indoors at a little round table, while a sweet-voiced teacher suggests that he build a stone wall with his wooden blocks, or make a rainbow out of strips of coloured paper, or plant straw trees in bead flower-pots. Such teaching fills the mind with artificial associations that must be got rid of, before the child can develop independent ideas out of actual experience." -- Anne Sullivan
