Ramblings, Sentiments, Rantings and Musings

My photo
I am a mother of 5 wonderful children and wife to one amazing Navy man. I am always changing things in my life, constantly learning something new and trying it out. I am a wannabe vegan, minimalist and currently living full time in an RV. Just for clarification, I say wannabe, because I know I am not perfect, but each day I strive to do the best I can. That's all I can expect from anyone no matter where they are in life. I learn something new everyday...mostly about myself and my little corner of reality. Life, to me, is loving, learning and making memories. These are better than all the tangible riches one can get their hands on! Besides, there will come a day when all I have left is my love and memories...so I'll stockpile as much of those as I can!
Pretty Ponies...ooh la la...
May I present you with our latest additions to our family. Our obvious new paint ponies.
This beautiful girl is almost 3 years old and her name is Kolbi...like the cheese only spelled different. Her name courtesy of Braji. This is my horse and I think she is gorgeous. Her spots on the right side look like flowers that a little one might draw. She's my girl.
And this here amazing dude is named Jack. You know...like the cheese! He is a very handsome 7 year old gelding. He is amazing. He is very well trained and does some really cool manuevers. His previous owner can even get him to sit or lay down. Very cool indeed. They are both dreams come true for Braji and I. I am grateful that she is sharing with me ;-)
I have a lot to learn from her. I haven't been on a horse in probably twenty years. I won't be doing anything fancy, but walking around is fine with me. I'll leave the barrel racing to Braji and the other kiddies. This old girl just can't hang!
I also have to say that I have the most amazing husband in the world. The hoops he jumps through and sacrifices he makes in order to make our dreams come true are endless. Thank you babe! You are the most selfless and incredible person I have ever known. I want you to know that we think you are the best! I love you! I love you! I love you! etc.

So now you've met the rest of our family. We are off on a very exciting adventure. We are officially citi-fied cowboys or something like that! I will surely keep you updated with our thrilling escapades! For now I am off to dream of green pastures and still waters. Good night all!

Famous Quotes

"I am beginning to suspect all elaborate and special systems of education. They seem to me to be built upon the supposition that every child is a kind of idiot who must be taught to think. Whereas, if the child is left to himself, he will think more and better, if less showily. Let him go and come freely, let him touch real things and combine his impressions for himself, instead of sitting indoors at a little round table, while a sweet-voiced teacher suggests that he build a stone wall with his wooden blocks, or make a rainbow out of strips of coloured paper, or plant straw trees in bead flower-pots. Such teaching fills the mind with artificial associations that must be got rid of, before the child can develop independent ideas out of actual experience." -- Anne Sullivan
