Ramblings, Sentiments, Rantings and Musings

My photo
I am a mother of 5 wonderful children and wife to one amazing Navy man. I am always changing things in my life, constantly learning something new and trying it out. I am a wannabe vegan, minimalist and currently living full time in an RV. Just for clarification, I say wannabe, because I know I am not perfect, but each day I strive to do the best I can. That's all I can expect from anyone no matter where they are in life. I learn something new everyday...mostly about myself and my little corner of reality. Life, to me, is loving, learning and making memories. These are better than all the tangible riches one can get their hands on! Besides, there will come a day when all I have left is my love and memories...so I'll stockpile as much of those as I can!
Babies...ooo...babies of all kinds...

I just returned a few days ago from visiting my brother. He and his girlfriend recently had a baby boy. I was instantly in love with his beautiful blue eyes and stunning red hair. Oh and did I mention his gorgeous smile. I love, love, love him.

I really enjoyed my trip, but I am not used to being away from my family. I am not sure I could have stayed longer than four days. Whew!, it was tough to listen to my babes sweet voices on the phone telling me all about what they were doing each day. And then of course I also had to endure the "Mommy I miss you, when are you coming home?".

I came home safe and sound to my fairy tale life and I was so happy to be back. Jud reports to his new command tomorrow. We spent the last few days since I arrived home just being together as a family.

As a matter of fact, we added two new members to our family yesterday. We are the proud parents to two very cute paint horses. A 7 year old gelding and an almost 4 mare. They are so beautiful and we definitely love them already.

I am having issues getting pictures up right now, but I will post them as soon as I can. Braji pointed out that the mare has spots that look just like flowers and she is right. I think it makes her fancy.

Braji picked out the names and as of now they are Kolbi and Jack. Yes they are cheesy names, he he he! I will be posting lots of updates about these two. What an adventure! Who knew we would be a real western family ;-) Anyway, I will post more later on our fairy tale life.

Until then, I hope that you are enjoying yours!

Famous Quotes

"I am beginning to suspect all elaborate and special systems of education. They seem to me to be built upon the supposition that every child is a kind of idiot who must be taught to think. Whereas, if the child is left to himself, he will think more and better, if less showily. Let him go and come freely, let him touch real things and combine his impressions for himself, instead of sitting indoors at a little round table, while a sweet-voiced teacher suggests that he build a stone wall with his wooden blocks, or make a rainbow out of strips of coloured paper, or plant straw trees in bead flower-pots. Such teaching fills the mind with artificial associations that must be got rid of, before the child can develop independent ideas out of actual experience." -- Anne Sullivan
