Ramblings, Sentiments, Rantings and Musings

My photo
I am a mother of 5 wonderful children and wife to one amazing Navy man. I am always changing things in my life, constantly learning something new and trying it out. I am a wannabe vegan, minimalist and currently living full time in an RV. Just for clarification, I say wannabe, because I know I am not perfect, but each day I strive to do the best I can. That's all I can expect from anyone no matter where they are in life. I learn something new everyday...mostly about myself and my little corner of reality. Life, to me, is loving, learning and making memories. These are better than all the tangible riches one can get their hands on! Besides, there will come a day when all I have left is my love and memories...so I'll stockpile as much of those as I can!
Just a little glimpse of life these days (again)...

Another pair of pillow case pajama pants. These blues are gorgeous! I still have to put a waistband in these.

These pants come out so cute. The greatest thing about them is that you don't have to hem the bottom because the pillow case is already "cuffed" if you will at the edge. Pretty nifty if you ask me. Not to mention that the pillow cases are so soft and only cost about $.50! Once a bargain hunter, always a bargain hunter.

Preparing for Jud's 35th birthday dinner! Chicken cutlet sandwiches with fresh rosemary dressing on focaccia bread. Yummy!

These are the cutest dishes that I bought yesterday. They have been in use by all the inhabitants of this house. Well the people not the dogs. Wink.

Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you!

Oh my, is that an egg??? Why yes it is! Finally! Seems like we have been waiting an eternity for this day. And of course I went and bought eggs today at the store before I checked on the chickens. Oh well, one won't go very far anyway ;-)

Ooh La La! The trees must be getting naked! They sure did wear some pretty colors! Don't you think?

Well this is the last of the watermelons. Some are too small to eat, but we picked 'em since they would probably freeze anyway. See you next year with all of your cool, red, sticky and drippy goodness!

I have a very busy few days and have still managed to get on here and write a little and post quite a few pictures. I have enjoyed these last few days immensely. I hope that you are enjoying and treasuring your autumn days, as they won't last long.

Famous Quotes

"I am beginning to suspect all elaborate and special systems of education. They seem to me to be built upon the supposition that every child is a kind of idiot who must be taught to think. Whereas, if the child is left to himself, he will think more and better, if less showily. Let him go and come freely, let him touch real things and combine his impressions for himself, instead of sitting indoors at a little round table, while a sweet-voiced teacher suggests that he build a stone wall with his wooden blocks, or make a rainbow out of strips of coloured paper, or plant straw trees in bead flower-pots. Such teaching fills the mind with artificial associations that must be got rid of, before the child can develop independent ideas out of actual experience." -- Anne Sullivan
