Ramblings, Sentiments, Rantings and Musings

My photo
I am a mother of 5 wonderful children and wife to one amazing Navy man. I am always changing things in my life, constantly learning something new and trying it out. I am a wannabe vegan, minimalist and currently living full time in an RV. Just for clarification, I say wannabe, because I know I am not perfect, but each day I strive to do the best I can. That's all I can expect from anyone no matter where they are in life. I learn something new everyday...mostly about myself and my little corner of reality. Life, to me, is loving, learning and making memories. These are better than all the tangible riches one can get their hands on! Besides, there will come a day when all I have left is my love and memories...so I'll stockpile as much of those as I can!
NEW HOUSE!!!
Here are some pictures of the outside of the house we are going to buy. The pictures don't do it near the justice it deserves, but they will give you an idea of what it looks like and why we like it so much!

front of house

Front of house w/oversized garage. The part of the garage that has the window is big enough for a third car, but instead is a workshop area. Very nice for Jud now that the Florida house has taught him to be so handy. Not to mention that there is a sink out there and now the kidlets can wash up before entering. (yeah right!) Cool anyway though.
Loafing shed. This is where the horses can come of their own free will if they want to get out of the elements...rain, snow, wind, etc. Big bonus that this building is already here. Not to mention, that the door that Zach is standing next to is where you can store all your tack, hay and whatever else you need to. All this and still room to put a horse in that section as well. Neat!
This is a shot of the kids walking in the pasture directly behind the house. You can't see it because Zachary is in the way, but there is a concrete patio , grass, a gazebo type structure and two gardens. I'm feeling a veggie garden coming on. Tomatoes, lettuce, zucchini and eggplant! Umm...yeah! That sounds so good.

Again here is a shot of the gazebo and the corner of the house. I was standing in the smaller pasture when I took the photo. The gazebo has some viney type plants. Don't much know what they are though. Grapes maybe? Or ivy? Guess we'll find out soon. Grapes would be cool. I can just see us sitting under the shade of the vines on our patio furniture.

Brand new shed for storage. This is a very nice shed. It will also be fantastic for storage of all sorts of stuff. I am not sure if we have ever had this much storage space in all of the houses we have ever lived in all added together.Jud standing behind house in back pasture/paddock. It is really hard to gage how big the area is, but there is still another pasture/paddock on the other side of the house. From this shot you see part of the storage shed and backyard with gazebo.
The kiddies petting the neighbors horses. They are in hog heaven, especially Braji. She is so in her element! You can't help but be happy for her.

So that is the house from the outside. Maybe I will get inside pictures soon. Until then, how do you like our new home!?! We sure love it!

Famous Quotes

"I am beginning to suspect all elaborate and special systems of education. They seem to me to be built upon the supposition that every child is a kind of idiot who must be taught to think. Whereas, if the child is left to himself, he will think more and better, if less showily. Let him go and come freely, let him touch real things and combine his impressions for himself, instead of sitting indoors at a little round table, while a sweet-voiced teacher suggests that he build a stone wall with his wooden blocks, or make a rainbow out of strips of coloured paper, or plant straw trees in bead flower-pots. Such teaching fills the mind with artificial associations that must be got rid of, before the child can develop independent ideas out of actual experience." -- Anne Sullivan
