I am a mother of 5 wonderful children and wife to one amazing Navy man. I am always changing things in my life, constantly learning something new and trying it out. I am a wannabe vegan, minimalist and currently living full time in an RV. Just for clarification, I say wannabe, because I know I am not perfect, but each day I strive to do the best I can. That's all I can expect from anyone no matter where they are in life. I learn something new everyday...mostly about myself and my little corner of reality. Life, to me, is loving, learning and making memories. These are better than all the tangible riches one can get their hands on! Besides, there will come a day when all I have left is my love and memories...so I'll stockpile as much of those as I can!
Gypsies!!!
Well it's official. As of 2 o'clockish today we are living in our camper with no home to go back to unless we buy a new one. I am not sure how long that will be either.

I am a little disappointed at how few miles that we actually got under our belts today as we stopped due to concern of running into bad weather. I have decided to take a picture of the kiddos at each stop along the way. I wonder if they will still be smiling by the time we move into a new home. I sure hope so, but I am not gonna fool myself and have some incredibly grand solution to the tight quarters that we are forced to share right now.

The fact is that we will probably be on each others nerves a time or two. We sat the kids down and we talked about privacy, how we treat each other, and the example that we set for others. I hope that I will be able to show copious amounts of patience so that the kids will have a good example to follow.

For now we still have a ways to go before we will be in Colorado. I fully intend to do the best I can to make the children happy so that they enjoy this trip across the states. Hopefully tomorrow we will make it a little farther up the road and if we are lucky we will miss the bad weather that is supposed to be headed our way. I need to stop cause I am falling asleep as we type Good night for now from Tallassee!

Famous Quotes

"I am beginning to suspect all elaborate and special systems of education. They seem to me to be built upon the supposition that every child is a kind of idiot who must be taught to think. Whereas, if the child is left to himself, he will think more and better, if less showily. Let him go and come freely, let him touch real things and combine his impressions for himself, instead of sitting indoors at a little round table, while a sweet-voiced teacher suggests that he build a stone wall with his wooden blocks, or make a rainbow out of strips of coloured paper, or plant straw trees in bead flower-pots. Such teaching fills the mind with artificial associations that must be got rid of, before the child can develop independent ideas out of actual experience." -- Anne Sullivan
