My monkeys are my own personal fairy tale in real life...

Ramblings, Sentiments, Rantings and Musings

My photo
I am a mother of 5 wonderful children and wife to one amazing Navy man. I am always changing things in my life, constantly learning something new and trying it out. I am a wannabe vegan, minimalist and currently living full time in an RV. Just for clarification, I say wannabe, because I know I am not perfect, but each day I strive to do the best I can. That's all I can expect from anyone no matter where they are in life. I learn something new everyday...mostly about myself and my little corner of reality. Life, to me, is loving, learning and making memories. These are better than all the tangible riches one can get their hands on! Besides, there will come a day when all I have left is my love and memories...so I'll stockpile as much of those as I can!
Franki's world...

Oh if this child could create a world what an amazing place it would be. It would be such a place of constant elation that no one would leave. In Franki's world everyone would be happy. People would spend day after day making their dreams come true because they could. Everything would be possible in Franki's world.

People could stick their fingers in the can of hot cocoa and lick and repeat as often as they want. They would eat only what they enjoyed and it would all be easy to make. As a matter of fact you might even be able to wiggle your nose and make it all appear.

There would be an endless supply of construction paper, scissors, TAPE, paint and glue. Everyone would be excited to get a creation made especially for them. They would love it so much and thank you would never be forgotten.

In Franki's world everywhere would be a park full of really cool toys and forts. Every place that you wanted to go would be convenient always and at all hours. All things would be very simplistic so that any age would be accomodated.

See Franki is a very special child. I know, I know...all children are special, but Franki is a very different kind of girl. See most people would label my precious and yes precocious child with some horrible degrading label. But I know better. I know who she really is. She is wild. She has an imagination that knows no bounds. She has a heart that is very strong, yet extremely fragile.

She is the most passionate person I have ever had the pleasure to know. She shows me how to hope and see the good in all things. She teaches me everyday to let go of any concerns about what others may think of me. She is the epitome of being yourself.

This child has taught me love and patience that I never in my wildest dreams did I think I was capable of. She has taught me what it means to be truly selfless. This child is an amazing person and she is a precious gift. I am grateful, so very grateful that she is my child.

Treasure our children always. They are our teachers of so many things. They are an incredible investment for our grandchildren. And if they are lucky they can all live in a corner of Franki's world. I visit it often. It's a pretty cool place!

Famous Quotes

"I am beginning to suspect all elaborate and special systems of education. They seem to me to be built upon the supposition that every child is a kind of idiot who must be taught to think. Whereas, if the child is left to himself, he will think more and better, if less showily. Let him go and come freely, let him touch real things and combine his impressions for himself, instead of sitting indoors at a little round table, while a sweet-voiced teacher suggests that he build a stone wall with his wooden blocks, or make a rainbow out of strips of coloured paper, or plant straw trees in bead flower-pots. Such teaching fills the mind with artificial associations that must be got rid of, before the child can develop independent ideas out of actual experience." -- Anne Sullivan
