Ramblings, Sentiments, Rantings and Musings

My photo
I am a mother of 5 wonderful children and wife to one amazing Navy man. I am always changing things in my life, constantly learning something new and trying it out. I am a wannabe vegan, minimalist and currently living full time in an RV. Just for clarification, I say wannabe, because I know I am not perfect, but each day I strive to do the best I can. That's all I can expect from anyone no matter where they are in life. I learn something new everyday...mostly about myself and my little corner of reality. Life, to me, is loving, learning and making memories. These are better than all the tangible riches one can get their hands on! Besides, there will come a day when all I have left is my love and memories...so I'll stockpile as much of those as I can!
Lunar Eclipse
Yes, it is there. What do you mean you can't see it. I can see it. Isn't it cool. Whatever! You obviously aren't looking in the right place. It's right there. Okay, I give. I know I am a lousy photographer...but it really is there! Okay, you win, I do have a link to another blog that has amazing photos. http://www.soulemama.typepad.com/

The lunar eclipse was so amazing to see. My pictures of it however left a lot to be desired. I really do suck at photography! One day I am gonna get a better camera and actually read the directions on how to take pictures that are a little more exciting to look at. Anyway, we took the kids down to the beach and had a great time watching the eclipse. So many occasions on the beach for us. I know, I know, you are probably tired of hearing about the beach, but it is true for us, we really do love it.
I don't think I have ever seen a lunar eclipse before. I found it fascinating to watch. We read about it on http://www.mreclipse.com/Special/LEprimer.html and on http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/lunar.html . There was some really good information for the kids. It was easy to understand. We will probably visit the site again tomorrow just because.

Well I hope that you had the opportunity to view the eclipse as well. It will be 2 more years before we see it again. I do apologize that my above photo isn't better than it is, but at least we got to see it, and again, from the beach no less. Good night all~

Famous Quotes

"I am beginning to suspect all elaborate and special systems of education. They seem to me to be built upon the supposition that every child is a kind of idiot who must be taught to think. Whereas, if the child is left to himself, he will think more and better, if less showily. Let him go and come freely, let him touch real things and combine his impressions for himself, instead of sitting indoors at a little round table, while a sweet-voiced teacher suggests that he build a stone wall with his wooden blocks, or make a rainbow out of strips of coloured paper, or plant straw trees in bead flower-pots. Such teaching fills the mind with artificial associations that must be got rid of, before the child can develop independent ideas out of actual experience." -- Anne Sullivan
