It seems impossible that another year has passed on by. We have all turned a year older, experienced a whole year full of wonderful moments, sad moments, trying moments and amazing moments. There has been lots to be grateful for and lots to learn from. So many memories to tuck away in our hearts to make room for many, many more.
I always feel refreshed, a sense of renewal at the beginning of a new year. I feel challenged to once again focus on being happy and making choices that make my family happy. These are my resolutions and unlike so many resolutions that are commonly heard of, I believe these are the best, the most worthwhile goals that I could set for myself.
Today as I cleaned the house (yes, I cleaned house for New Years) and once again organized the kids craft area I thought...I am just wiping clean a canvas, a canvas that my family can now create something new upon. I felt the same about the new year, that it is a clean canvas as well.
This canvas thing hung with me and I enjoyed cleaning my kitchen spotless, because I always love to be in a clean kitchen and it made me want to fix really cool meals and bake yummy goodies with the kids. I loved organizing the craft area so that the kids could see the entire variety of mediums that we have for creating their hearts desires.
I can't wait to see what the new year has in store for our family! A new year and a million of possibilities lay ahead and I wonder what our canvas will look like when we glance back on January first of 2009!
Well, heres to 2008! I hope it will be filled with love, happiness and lots and lots of wonderful memories! Best wishes to everyone for the same. Happy New Year!
